Overview:
We are seeking a Consultant Dermatologist to join our multidisciplinary medical team for 1 session per week. We are a doctor-led clinic and our team currently consists of 2 Plastic Surgery Consultants, a Consultant Dermatologist, 2 GP's with further dermatological & laser training and 3 nurses providing aesthetic & laser services. The position is flexible in that the Consultant can work alongside our plastic surgeon's to advance skills in laser, aesthetic dermatology and surgery or to provide stand alone dermatological care as Dr Todd currently does. We regularly do training in house as a team, theoretical laser training from Dr Jules Handley (now retired but setup Ulster Hospital laser department) and various laser and aesthetic courses together. Our laser suite offers Lumenis Ultrapulse Alpha C02, NDYAG, Alexandrite, Erbium, IPL and PiQ04 lasers. We are currently building a purpose built theatre room within our building to expand and elevate our surgical offering. Our company indemnity policy covers all doctors for aesthetic and laser procedures but the Consultant must take out their own medical defence protection for the dermatological and surgical work they undertake. We would also advise you register with Healthcode PPR.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Medical degree recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC) and on the specialist register for Dermatology.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in treating general dermatology presentations
- Experience in skin surgery and skin cancer management
- Laser experience desirable but not necessary.

Pay: £40,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
